Thief Remastered won't just give players a refreshed version of Looking Glass Studios' stealth classic. Nightdive Studios is also shipping an entirely new expansion alongside the remaster, adding four original missions to a game first released nearly three decades ago.
Ahead of launch, Nightdive has released a new gameplay trailer for The Tarnished Mirror, the upcoming expansion campaign included with Thief Remastered. Rather than revisiting familiar content from the original game, the expansion introduces four entirely new missions built specifically for the remaster. The new campaign is designed to bridge the gap between the events of Thief and Thief II, giving long-time fans an opportunity to experience a previously untold chapter in Garrett's story.
The latest trailer offers a brief look at several of the new environments players will be exploring, while also showcasing the updated visuals and gameplay enhancements introduced as part of the remaster.
With Thief: The Dark Project Remastered releasing on December 3rd, attention will inevitably turn to the future of the series. Nightdive has yet to announce plans for a Thief II remaster, but we would certainly like to see one.
