Grand Theft Auto VI is now less than three weeks away, and Rockstar has finally revealed when players will be able to start pre-loading the game. The studio has also confirmed that GTA 6 will require up to 212GB of storage space, making it one of the largest console game releases to date.
Pre-loading for digital copies will begin on the 10th of November. PlayStation 5 users will be able to start downloading at midnight local time, while Xbox Series X|S players will gain access from 12AM GMT. Rockstar has also confirmed that code-in-box editions for both consoles should begin appearing at retailers from the 12th of November.
The biggest takeaway from the announcement is the game's install size. According to Rockstar, the pre-load file can require up to 212GB of storage depending on the platform, meaning players may want to start clearing space well in advance of launch day.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the 19th of November. Rockstar also confirmed plans to release a free digital version of the game's cover art poster and map of Leonida on launch day, with physical versions to follow through the Rockstar Store.
