Super Flower has launched its flagship Leadex VIII Platinum Pro Premium PSU series, offering 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models in both black and white finishes. Built to ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, the new units feature a 12V-2×6 cable alongside a compact 125mm-long chassis.
A key highlight of the series is its high-precision LLC controller IC manufactured by TSMC. Super Flower claims this controller delivers more precise voltage regulation during shifts between low and high loads. Despite reaching up to 1200W, each unit measures 125x150x86mm, making the 1200W variant one of the most compact Platinum-rated power supplies on the market. Internally, the PSUs house 100% Japanese-brand 105°C-rated capacitors, Infineon MOSFETs, and a dual-layer main transformer with an integrated resonant inductor.
Efficiency has been verified by Cybenetics, which issued a Platinum certification for this unit. As such, we can expect an overall efficiency between 89% and 91%. Thermal management relies on Super Flower's Eco semi-fanless mode to shut down the cooling fan during low-load tasks. Cable routing is handled through the company's patented universal 9-pin modular connector layout, paired with flexible embossed cables to simplify assembly.
