Detailed new mobile CPU roadmaps, reportedly from an OEM partner, have given us a somewhat predictable look at AMD's and Intel's plans for the next couple of years. While the long-term future looks bright with the arrival of Zen 6, it appears that AMD's high-end gaming and enthusiast laptop segments may not be getting a significant performance upgrade in 2026. As for Intel, it seems like 2026 could be more promising.
According to the leaks shared by @momomo_us (via Videocardz), there are no successors planned for 2026 for the vast majority of AMD's product lineups. The only new product mentioned for 2026 is “Gorgon Point”, which is described as a refresh of the current Zen 5-based “Strix Point” APU, reportedly retaining the same CPU core count, as well as CPU, NPU, and graphics architectures. However, it seems AI performance at the higher end of the Gorgon Point will be slightly better than in its predecessors.

The leak also contained a roadmap for Intel, which aligns with existing rumours for its Panther Lake lineup (H-series). In addition, we also see the new Wildcat Lake platform (U- and P-series) showing up in early 2026, suggesting we might have new processors in the 15W and 28W segments from Intel next year.
AMD's roadmap also shows what we can expect from 2027 in the mobile CPU front, which is when the next major architectural leap is scheduled. This will see the introduction of “Gator Range”, the Zen 6-based successor to Fire Range, for the enthusiast laptop segment. It will be joined by “Medusa Point”, which is listed as using a 3 nm process and moving to a new FP10 socket.
KitGuru says: As with all such leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. There is no telling how accurate either of these roadmaps are, but Intel and AMD should be making public announcements soon.
