Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT to feature Navi 23 GPU and 8GB of GDDR6 memory

New rumours regarding the specifications of the AMD Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT SKUs have emerged. The specifications were based on AMD engineering samples, which should be relatively close to the final product.

According to this Chiphell post (via @9550pro), both the AMD Radeon RX 6600 and the RX 6600 XT will be based on the Navi 23 GPU and feature 8GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit memory bus.

The Radeon RX 6600 XT is reportedly coming with 2048 streaming processors (32 CUs), capable of scoring 9439 points in 3DMark Time Spy. The Ethereum mining performance seems to be about 30MH/s.

As for the Radeon RX 6600, it will feature 28 CUs with 1792 streaming processors and score 7805 points in 3DMark Time Spy (17% less than the RX 6600 XT). The Ethereum mining performance is about 10% inferior to that of the RX 6600 XT, resulting in a hash rate of 27MH/s.

The release date of these cards hasn’t been confirmed, but they are expected to release in Q2 2021.

KitGuru says: Considering the expected mining performance, these GPUs appear less likely to be targeted by crypto farms, which will hopefully lead to more stock and availability for gamers.
