Sony's new State of Play showcase might be bigger than initially expected. While initially it was thought that the new PlayStation game announcements would go on for an hour, various screenings of the event around the US pin the runtime at 90 minutes.
Sony has partnered with the Alamo Drafthouse cinema, inviting PlayStation fans to attend cinemas in six different cities to watch the event unfold alongside other hardcore fans. The screenings will be taking place in Chicago, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Raleigh and San Francisco.
As spotted by Insider Gaming, the Alamo Drafthouse description for the screening indicates that the State of Play may be longer than originally thought, pinning the runtime at 90 minutes instead of an hour. However, it is possible that the runtime is being padded out by the cinema's own advertisements for upcoming films.
Either way, the big first-party game set to be shown at the State of Play in June is Marvel's Wolverine, but there should be a few other surprises too. On top of that, we are expecting Fairegame$ to make a new appearance, but potentially under a new title ‘Break In', due to a recent Sony trademark.
