Intel Arc B570 benchmarks leak ahead of release

Following the successful launch of the Arc B580 in December, the B570 is about to arrive with a lower price tag, fewer cores, and a more budget-friendly focus. Performance numbers aren't known yet, but early benchmarks show a similar price-performance ratio as its bigger sibling.

The B580 quickly became a favourite among gamers seeking strong performance at an affordable price, leading to widespread stock shortages. The B570 aims to do something similar in a more entry-level segment, offering a compelling option for those seeking a capable GPU without breaking the bank.

A recent Geekbench entry shared by Benchleaks has provided an early glimpse into the B570's performance. The card scored 86,716 points in the OpenCL test, roughly 10% lower than the B580. While Geekbench isn't a perfect indicator of gaming performance, it does offer a general idea of the card's capabilities. The 10% performance difference between the B570 and B580 aligns with Intel's pricing strategy, which positions the B570 at a 12% lower price point.

Compared to the B580, the B570 features 10% fewer cores, a 7% lower clock speed, and 17% less memory bandwidth. These compromises contribute to the performance reduction observed in the Geekbench test. However, given the B580's success and the B570's more aggressive pricing, Intel might have another winner on its hands.

One of Intel's key advantages with the B570 is the lack of direct competition from AMD and Nvidia in the entry-level segment. This allows Intel to capture market share before the next-generation entry-level RDNA 4 and Blackwell GPUs come in, which should still be a few months away.
