GSC Game World rolls out third Stalker 2 patch in less than a week

GSC Game World has been hard at work on updating STALKER 2. The first update rolled out last week and was quickly followed by a second patch over the weekend. Now, a third patch for the game has dropped, targeting more bugs.

While STALKER 2 has a positive rating amongst Steam users, the game does have a number of issues and many reviewers have recommended waiting to pick up the game. The A-Life system, for example, currently doesn't work as intended due to bugs, and various issues have been leading to crashes, memory leaks and other problems. The first few patches have primarily focused on progression-blockers, crashes and NPC behaviour.

The third patch for STALKER 2 is now rolling out to players on PC and Xbox, weighing in at around 20GB on PC. Patch 1.0.3 targets another long list of bugs, including ACCESS_VIOLATION_ERROR and LowLevelFatalError crashes. The full patch notes can be found HERE.

Considering the situation GSC Game World found itself in during development of STALKER 2, the internet at large appears to be giving them a pass for the launch-day issues. Considering the developers had to literally escape a warzone, while some members of the team stayed behind to fight for their country, I think that pass is merited.

KitGuru Says: Have any of you tried out STALKER 2 since its launch?  With three patches now available, have you noticed improvements?
