Corsair has a new version of the K70 keyboard on the way. The new K70 Core SE is launching this month, with a unique white, silver and yellow colour scheme, while retaining all the features we rated in our recent review of the standard model.
What sets the K70 Core SE apart is its MLX Red linear mechanical switches, which provide a finely tuned typing experience. With pre-lubricated switches, key travel is smooth, and stem wobbling is eliminated for consistent and pleasant actuation for up to 70 million keystrokes. Additionally, two layers of sound-dampening foam provide softer acoustics.
The K70 Core SE has the same premium features as other Corsair K70 Core keyboards, including the aluminium top plate and the included palm rest. The multi-function dial makes it easy to change volume, RGB brightness, zoom, and more, while the programmable media button allows quick music and video management. These buttons and the RGB lighting can be configured in the Corsair iCUE software, allowing up to five onboard profiles to be stored. Instead of the double-shot ABS keycaps of the standard K70 Core model, it comes with PBT dye-sublimated keycaps.
Alongside the K70 Core SE launch, Corsair is offering limited-edition keycap and mouse pad bundles exclusively through their website. These bundles contain an MM350 Pro Extended XL 930x400mm mouse pad with spill-proof stain-resistant micro weave and PBT dye-sublimated keycap set in three colours: White Cherry Blossom, Steel Azure, and Steel Crimson. The Corsair K70 Core SE gaming keyboard is now available worldwide.
KitGuru says: Would you prefer the K70 Core SE variant over the non-SE? Of the new keycap bundles, which one appeals to you the most?
