Today, Corsair is announcing its latest flagship gaming headset, the Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT. As you would expect from a new wireless headset from Corsair, this one sports Slipstream Wireless technology for a faster, low-latency connection, in addition to Bluetooth for additional device compatibility.
The Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT can be connected to pretty much any device, thanks to a combination of Slipstream Wireless, Bluetooth aptX, USB and an additional 3.5mm headphone jack connection. Under each ear cup you’ll find 50mm neodymium drivers tuned to within +/-1db of tolerance for peak performance. These drivers have a frequency range of 20Hz to 40,000Hz and the headset supports Dolby Atmos for Headphones.
Since this is a gaming headset and not just a pair of headphones, there is a microphone. According to Corsair, this is a detachable, high-bandwidth microphone capable of “broadcast quality” audio.
For comfort, this headset is built using memory foam in the ear pads and a lightweight aluminium headband. The headset is capable of up to 15 hours of usage on a single charge, which is assisted by an accelerometer-based smart-wake function, ensuring no battery is wasted during standby time.
The Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT gaming headset will be available exclusively through the Corsair Store for now. Unfortunately, the listing isn’t showing pricing at the time of publishing – we will update this post once that information comes through.
KitGuru Says: This headset sounds awesome on paper. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to take a close look at it ourselves for a review.
