Evidence points to early launch for Halo Infinite multiplayer

Xbox is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary on Monday, a date that also marks the 20th anniversary of Halo. Microsoft is holding a stream for the occasion, but claimed there would be no major reveals. As it turns out, there might be one particularly big showstopper, as dataminers have uncovered evidence that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will launch early.

While looking through Xbox Store code, Adam Fairclough found several strings referencing a November 15th launch date for Halo Infinite multiplayer. A number of Halo leakers have also begun teasing this date ahead of the stream on Monday.

Microsoft has neither confirmed or denied the rumour. It is possible that this early launch for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be reserved for pre-order customers and Xbox Game Pass subscribers. This would allow the developers to stress test the game for a couple of weeks before Infinite Multiplayer’s full free to play launch on the 8th of December.

Halo Infinite has had a number of beta tests in recent months, each of which felt very polished and ready for launch. If you’re a Halo fan, then it seems that it will be worth keeping an eye out for updates on Monday.

KitGuru Says: This will be a great shadow drop for Microsoft if these rumours prove to be true. As always, keep your expectations in check for now, as nothing has been confirmed officially.
